Correction!

In this case, It was held that the amount paid as retirement compensation is valid and not illegal. It was also decided that the employer can deduct the amount outstanding by employee from the amount of compensation.

Actually the line I have mentioned is a fragment of a case law and I was trying to write it simply. The term "Outstanding" is referring to the amount due by employee. (eg. any charges due by employee for any service which was provided by employer).
