This is my compare and contract about living in big city and small town for college. Actually it is supposed to be around 1200 words. I only hv 1000 words. Would you mind correction or suggestions for my essay!

Some people prefer to live in big city and others like to live in small town. This is a very controversial issue for the people who like to live in small town. We cannot deny the fact the fact that either living in big city or small town has both advantages and drawbacks. In my opinion, I would prefer to live in a big city because living in a big city is more adventurous and exciting than living in a small town for a youth.
Life is very convenient if you live in a big city because of the social amenities and facilities of the city. As the result, people living in a big city can commute by using public transportation that is arranged by the local government. What is more, big cities have more entertainment than small towns such as shopping malls, parks, theater and recreation centers. Since it is a big city, people definitely will have variety of more choices than in small town. Moreover, people will be provided by the better health care services and health insurance by living in big city. Furthermore, the population of the city is very crowded too. Yet people can take advantage for that. As there is high population density in big city, there are plenty of social activities like hobby clubs, reading club or coffee club and so on. People will have chance o encounter with many sorts of people and broaden their societies.
There is one significant attraction why people have moved to big city it is because of the better opportunities. People believe that they will have more opportunities and alternatives to be equipped with better education system. As a consequence, they would have more chance to get a better workplace if they have a degree from a recognized college from a big city. Furthermore, life would be more interesting and adventurous by living in a huge city. Since the city is a cosmopolitan, the residents could learn the other culture as well as customs. It is more fascinating meeting the some people from some culture everyday.
Living in the big city is delectable and enticing, however, the cost of living is somewhat high. It is more costly for the accommodation or rent than in small town. Yet it’s still worth paying. Plus people are mulcted to pay tax and tips for almost every purchasing. Despite people are paying mote money for food, the food couldn’t be as fresh as that of in the small town. In addition, the organic food is very expensive either.
On the other hand, the more developed the city, the more polluted the city is. Every single people who live in a city has to face with this. There are air pollution, water pollution, and noise pollution as well. Similarly, because of the over crowded population, noise pollution and water pollution would be the important problem of big city too. The industry zones, the traffic pollutes the air. Furthermore, living in a city would lessen the privacy, especially for the people who live in apartment.
On the contrary, some people still want to live in small town too. Obviously, there are some advantages in living in small town. Unlike the cities, people would be surrounded by the people they know for a period of time. Almost everybody is nice and they remember each other. People can have a deep friendship and good relation with a group of people. And people even can attend to the events walking in because they do not need a complex plan. There is no metaphoring or pretending like people from city. Additionally, living in small town is safer than the city. The crime rate in town is significantly lower than that of the city.
In spite of the golden opportunities for education and career life, people can have the opportunities of receiving help. People form town are very friendly and willing to help comparing to the people from city. In addition, people from town are more laid back and lower pace type so that life would be very easy, less challenging and less competitive. Hence, small town is the best place for people who want to live in relaxed environment.
What is more, the living expenses are cheap although the accommodation is more comfortable and better. Moreover, taxation is also free or almost free depending on the town. More importantly, people can get fresher food especially the organic food. In additional, it saves money by living in a small town because there is no such place to spend money restlessly for instant, casino and amusement center.
Finally, the best reason why people choose a town is the pollution. Town is not as polluted as a city because of the deficiency of factories and industries. As well as, there is no traffic congestions. As the result, people do not have to waste their time in traffic like people in city. People can enjoy fresh air, fresh water and picturesque scenery in town. Whereas, the town population is not too crowded so that people will have more privacy, comfortable and peaceful life.
To sum up, living in a big city or small town has both advantages and disadvantages. Mostly, people choose where to live depending on their type. For some people who like adventurous, challenging life would choose the city and for other who would like to spend their life peacefully, stresslesslly would choose small town. For me, I would live in a big city in my youth and middle age and live in a small town happily ever after when I grew older.
