Correction

Hi.
Should the underlined be 'spend' or 'spent'?and should the last 'it' be omitted?
in my opinion we should tell the truth anytime and in any case unless we might lose a valuable friendship which we spend a lot of time and energy to build it.

In my opinion, we should tell the truth anytime and in any case unless we might lose a valuable friendship, which we spend/spent a lot of time and energy to build.

In my opinion, the "it" is wrong there but both spend and spent are possible. You do need a comma after friendship too.
