The chart illustrates the percentage of boys and girls participate in many different sports during 2002 in New Zealand.
In general, there were bid differences between boys and girls who played in almost all of those sports. But the figures for tennis and basketball parcitipation between boys and girls were similar.
Among the girls, netball and swimming are two most comon sports which reached up to 25% and 22% respectively. While the proportion of girls who participated in soccer is 5% and 4% for athletics, the percentages of girls too part in cricket and martial arts are less than 5%. Lastly participation other sports is around 10%.
AS oppose to the girls, only 1% of boys played netball. Highest paticipation among the boys went to soccer, swimming, and cricket which is 25%, 13% and 12% respectively. These was about 18% of boys played other sports.
