Correct word in this situation?

Hi,

What is the correct word in this condition?
Suppose, I am sitting on the bus and I am sitting behind someone.
“A” is the person who is sitting behind other and he has to say “B” is sitting ___ me.
My mind says “ahead of” would be the correct word.
What is the correct word in this situation?

He is standing in front of me.
