Correct use of "during"
Hello all.
Did I use "during" correctly in this sentence? My teacher doesn´t think so and wouldn´t use it here at all.
- During the summer I lost my ID which I thought it was something my father would kill me for.

0"During the summer" is OK, but there are other problems with the sentence. The minimum fix would be to delete the word "it" and put a comma after "ID".
