Correct use of commas

Hello everyone

I would like to ask for an (expert, if possible) opinion in regard to the use of commas in an assignment (it is a group work in which one of the team members is potentially making excessive and incorrect use of commas). A sample portion of it is posted below with the potential incorrect uses highlighted in yellow:

<<

The current document describes the testing framework and approach which would drive the testing of mobile-only banking and payment platform MMTDLAJZ, developed by, ‘NewFinCo Inc.’ on behalf of, ‘HSBC Holdings plc’.

The application to be tested is the, ‘MMTDLAJZ’ banking and payment platform which will provide customers with secure access to mobile-only banking services provided by, ‘NewFinCo Inc.’

>>

If the highlights are indeed incorrect uses of commas, please explain why they are. Or if they are correct please explain also.

Thank you very much

Ty

There is no rule that says a comma must precede a proper noun. This is the non-existent rule that is being followed in the text you quote.

Further, a comma must not occur within a constituent of a sentence (a word group that "goes together"). That includes the positions after an article and after a preposition. For example, it's wrong to write the, company. And it's wrong to w
