Correct use of "come"

Hi there,

Just wanted to ask - can I say:

"I will come to your place around 8PM"? Or do I have to use "come" only when I talk about a place I am currently in? For example if I am at home and somebody calls me and I will say "Sure, come at 8PM".

Any other alternatives to the sentence above - when I want to say I will visit somebody at home/office/shop? "I will drop by yours at 8pm"? Or is using "drop by" incorrect with exact time? Does it really mean unexpected, short visit?

I have asked more questions than I initially wanted, but really keen to see some answers;-)

Thanks!
