Correct usage in these examples.

We ate the same food as him from his own catering, made sure we had enough water, and we all enjoyed a joke with him.

Be always so direct and open with your words.

Happy birthday to my favourite niece, to the glorious, luminous, energetic & entrepreneurial genius that she is.

In this town they don't hide there secrets they bury them. (need a comma before they?)


Are these punctuated correctly? Is the last example a clause or a phrase starting with 'to'?
