Correct usage

Hi, it seems like I have a problem going on with finding the right tense here in these sentence. Could you please help?

She would take advantage of the situation by not accepting his application.
Is the second part ok? Or should it be "by not having accepted?"
I could also say " by rejecting" directly but I want to know the negative usage.

Cemre Raikko She would take advantage of the situation by not accepting his application. Welcome to the forum, Cemre Raikkp. Your sentence seems to be OK, but we'd need more context to know if the 'She would take' is appropriate.

Thank you fivejedjon, I am working on a paper now, and would is ok in that context. If I have more questions, should I post seperately or simply write it here?
