Correct this sentence

"After going to the store, Jon quickly bought things on his list".

Would you be able to tell me what is wrong with this sentence and how to correct it? Is it that adverbials of manner tend to precede adverbials of place?

Semantically, I wonder about a few things. After going to the store is a little awkward, because it sounds a bit like he went to the store and then he left the store, all before buying things.
