'Babbling as it might seem to be Tom's only talent, the truth is he's just a talkative person.'
Pretty lame excuse for a person who likes babbling, the reason for using 'only' in this phrase was Tom has tried several things in the scene and all had failed, at last he had ran out of ideas and the only thing left for him to do was just talk, this phrase 'conclue' the sitsuation. Can anyone tell me if this phrase sustain/understandable? I'm not quite sure the first half of it.
