If there are any mistakes in the below sentences please do correct it.
1. I was busy in work.

2. Why didn't you receive/take my call. Here receive and take are they both mean same?

She dint receive my call. Is this sentence wrong. Can you tell me when should we use receive.

I think that the only time "receive" would be used in this context would be if there were an equipment failure that prevented the call from going through. So you might say something like this:
"Our phone system was down all day yesterday and we couldn't receive any incoming calls."
