Correct these sentences...
hi, could you please help me to solve some problems i have? i've been given several sentences that i should correct, but i'm not sure i did them all right...
the task is as follows:
write the unnecessary words on the lines provided, or put a tick if the sentence is correct...
the sentences are:
original 1 - Angie is used to go to Spain every summer when she was young.
my try 1 - Angie used to go to Spain every summer when she was young.
original 2 - jerry had been studying in Milan for three years before I met him.
my try 2 - correct?
original 3 - she is always complaining about everything. i can´t stand it.
my try 3 - she is complaining about everything. i can´t stand it. (or is it also possible with the always?)
original 4 - nobody started eating until all the guests had still arrived
my try 4 - nobody started eating until all the guests had arrived

Hi Michael, Welcome to English Forums. These are all correct. Number three works with or without the "always," but the other ones with extra words were ungrammatical until the words were removed.

Hi Michael, Welcome to English Forums.
These are all correct. Number three works with or without the "always," but the other ones with extra words were ungrammatical until the words were removed. So perhaps the person who designed the test intended that you should keep the "always."
