Bob Green liked the novels of a writer called John Adams. Bob’s wife Mag, the manager of a big bookshop, always brought Bob they latest work by his favorite writer. Then one day Mag said to her husband, “John Adams has come (came) to our bookshop to sign copies of his new book for his admires. Isn’t that good news? A big party is organized for him at the Grand Hotel and you are invited as my husband.” Bob got very happy and looked forward to the day when he would meet John Adams. On the great day at 4 p.m. Bob was standing at the door of the hotel room where the party has just begun. He hoped he would recognize the writer whose photo he has had for a long time. And he really did. The great writer was talking to his wife. Bob was introduced to the writer immediately. He wanted the great man to tell him about his early days as a writer and learnt that the writer’s real name was John Smith but his agent adviced him to change it. Then Bob saw John Adams smiling. “Would you like to know my little secret?” he asked. When I had been writing for 12 years already, I found out that I had no talent as a writer!” Bob was surprised and asked why he didn’t give up writing. “By that time I had become too famous to stop,” answered the writer.
