Correct the sentence please

"Make sure you perform the testing after you make the updates."  (OR)
"Make sure that you perform the testing after you make the updates."

Which one is correct? and correct the sentence if both are wrong.

Both are correct. This sounds like business correspondence, so in your place I would use the slightly more formal "Make sure that ...."

This is a case of omitting the relative pronoun in a relative clause. You can do that as you want if there is a subject in the relative clause. Also this is only possible in defining relative clauses not non-defining relative clauses.
