correct the sentence

Is comma required before WHICH or not?

Bottles are melted into glass, which is then molded into new cups.

OR

Bottles are melted into glass which is then molded into new cups.

Top answer

I recommend the comma because you are not saying it's a particular kind of glass. In other words, you have a non-defining clause. You're not defining a certain kind of glass.
