correct the sentence

Hello,

1. Suitcase got hurt because he dropped it.

( The suitcase got damaged because he dropped it. )

3. He is more cleverer than any child in the class.

Thanks.

Hello,

1. Sound of a car wake mummy up.

The correct form version is

1.A. The sound of a car woke mummy up.

Now, I want to know - Why we have used "the" and "woke" (instead of "wakes")

Thanks.

If you say "wakes", it will mean that the sound of a car generally wakes your mother.
