correct the errors

1.Built on 230 acres, the palace of Udaipur is one of the showplaces of Rajasthan.
2. She was sitting closely beside him
3.Though only sixteen, Harvard accepted Shruti's application.

what I did is
1. The palace of Udaipur is one of the showplaces of Rajasthan, built on 230 acres.

My teacher crossed the sentence and told me that no changes are required. But I'm not convinced.

2. Possible (but crossed)
3. hundred percent correct( but crossed)

Please explain me where I'm wrong.
