Correct term - response or reply

In business English, when you have a list of questions and want the other party to reply - what will be the difference between asking "Your (rapid) response/replies will be requested within date/time"? Will reply be and answer to a question, and response more of a comment? Or is it better to use "answer" instead of both of them?

Top answer

A response or reply can be either an answer or a comment, but your sentence is rather lumpy. I suggest this: Your prompt response/ reply is requested by date/time.
