I have made up the sentences with some details below.
(1) [Suppose that you plan to jog regularly. A few minutes before you start jogging, you say the following sentence to your friends.]
Today is the first day I jog four kilometres. (simple present)
(2) [same scenario as above] Today is the first day I am jogging four kilometres. (present continuous)
(3) [Suppose that you have just finished your jog.] Today is the first day I have jogged four kilometres. (present perfect)
Most of my non-native English speaking friends think (2) and (3) are correct. The rest of my friends think (1) and (3) are right. What is your opinion? Thank you very much for your help.
