I'm suspicious that you mean 'typical' in place of 'tropical'. What do you say?

I also think you are trying to say that Singapore (metaphorically) "broke the rule" simply in the sense that it is not a typical city. It "breaks the mold" by being so atypical

Thanks alph, in general the tropical cities have a difficult style life for the humedity and hot weather everything deteriorates easily in singapore the life style is high level and the maintenaince is constant
