Correct sentences please

Hi.

1.When dogs are newborns, we call them puppy.

2. E-pal means an email friend.

3.The word "E-pal" means someone you ...

4. Two-year contract with a possible extension according to the result of (a?) performace evaluation.

5. Leave this on the board to act as a template -- or if you feel your students are accurate (a comma??) you can erase it.

6. You don't like sport (sports?).

7. You like exercise (exercising? to exercise?).

Great. Why did you put the definite article here for no.4? Couldn't it be the indefinite article "a" there?
