Correct sentence for me.

Game has already been released.

If we still have or had to wait for a patch, what is or was the point of releasing the game on the official release date?

What's wrong with this sentence?

Also is there another usage for had aside from the past tense of have?

Like how were is used in conditional sentences, is had also one of them.
