Correct sentence?

I am not going to ask him for help because he wouldn't help me.

Top answer

Yes, it's OK. To be very fussy, the repetition of "help" at the end of the sentence is stylistically slightly weak, and the sentence would in my opinion be better as, for example, "I am not going to ask him for help because he would refuse". However, this is, as I say, a very fussy comment and you may wish to ignore it.
