Hello guyper, I don't know If your 'A' sentences are correct or not, but your 'B' sentences seem correct. 'smoking' and 'entrance' are just nouns there.

These seem quite correct to me:

- Only guests are allowed / permitted (to enter / entrance) through here.

- Are we allowed / permitted (to smoke / smoking) here?

Hello teacher, could you please tell me why it's wrong to say Only guests are allowed entrance through here or Are we allowed smoking here?

LaboriousBut isn't 'smoking' a 'noun' there?
It’s really difficult to see it as a noun. In any case, a native speaker would not say Are we allowed smoking here? But you could say We don’t allow smoking here, where smoking is definitely a noun.

The same goes for swimming and dancing.
