correct sentence

Hi, I am stuck with these two sentence choices. For me the answer is C, but OA is E. I couldnt understand the use of are unlike.....in that it is... in E

Can you please explain

Unlike most warbler species, the male and female
blue-winged warbler are very difficult to tell apart.

(C) Unlike those in most warbler species, the male
and female blue-winged warblers are very
difficult to distinguish.

(E) Blue-winged warblers are unlike most species of
warbler in that it is very difficult to tell the male
and female apart.

C is not a bad answer, but the problem is that it contrasts 'species' with ''male and female . . . warblers'. It needs to say

Unlike the male and female of most warbler species, the male
and female blue-winged warblers are very
difficult to distinguish.

(E) Blue-winged warblers are unlike most species of
warbler in that it is very difficult to tell the male
and female apart.

E is a good answer. 'Are unlike' just means they are not like each other. 'In that' normally introduces an explanation. eg He married her, in that she was very rich.
