Strange, and yet strangely likable!

The mathematical counterpart is not so likable:
There is enough food to go around by a factor of two.

Then there's these (ones

):

"There is twice as much food as (is) needed to go around."
"Even half as much food is / would be / would have been enough to go around."
"There's plenty of food! Everyone can eat twice as much!"

How about "There is twice too much jam for this small piece of toast."

"There are twice more lemons in this basket than in the other."

Confusing.
