Returning to school, and getting my degree, is something that I have known I needed to do since I got out of high school. By going back to school, and continuing my education, I will finally be able to accomplish a lot of the goals that I have set for my life. I know that, without an education, most of these goals would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to accomplish. But, with my degree, I will be one step closer and have more opportunities to achieve these goals.
First of all, just getting my associated degree has been something that I have always wanted and needed to do. It, in itself, will give me a lot of personal satisfaction and pride to finally accomplish that. Also, obtaining my degree, will allow me more opportunities for a better job and a more successful career. It will also finally allow me to make choices, in life, based upon the things I want to do, not just the things I can do. Up to this point, I have been severely restricted on these choices due to my lack of education. I expect to see a major change in that after completing college.
The education I receive will also expand my knowledge and learning base on a wide variety of subjects. This will make me more confident about my abilities and myself, both personally and professionally. It will also allow me to explore different options as far as the types of paths I will be able to follow in the future. As a part of this, it will re-stimulate my brain activity and make me more open to other new learning experiences and opportunities. Hopefully, that will lead me into different areas so that I can continue to grow, learn and keep broadening my horizons on a daily basis. It has always been my philosophy that a person can never learn too much.
Last, but not least, the education I will receive will make me better equipped to be able to run my own business and to help me achieve financial security in my life. It has always been a goal of mine to start and run my own business. I know that without some knowledge on business law and skills pertaining to business management and practices, it would be extremely difficult to achieve this. I know that my classes throughout college will help me to understand all of the necessary things that must be done to plan a business, start it and keep it running smoothly and profitably. It will also give me insights and tools to use in order to stay on top of all the markets. With all of these skills under my belt, I will be better prepared to start my future with a positive outlook.
I am very excited to be enrolled in the ashford university and to finally be working toward the degree that I need. I am looking forward to the rest of this class, the others to come, and all the wonderful new things that I will learn during them.
