Correct please.

Is this correct sentence?

"Request: taking days off on August 23 & 24."

I don't think it's correct. I think the "off on" combination is incorrect, even though it's very common. " I'm not sure about the comma.

I don't think it's correct. I think the "off on" combination is incorrect, even though it's very common. A better way to say this would be:

"Request: taking days off August 23 & 24."

or perhaps

"Request: taking days off, August 23 & 24."

I'm not sure about the comma. Maybe one of our English teachers could help out?
