Correct phrase?

Hi,

If I’d like to say that one expresses his emotions/feelings by singing them in a song (instead of, say, talking about them for example or shouting), can I say ’’he sings his emotions”? Or, if not, what phrase can be used that is short and correct and gives this meaning? Could you let me know, please? Thank you in advance.
