I want to explain about location:The cave is located in north of the townHow to simplified that phrase??is "cave (SHould I add preposition??i.e. at,in,on, from) north from the town" correct?thank you very much.also is this correct?Go to the inside of the cave.or too many "the"???

The cave is on the north side of the town.

If the cave is outside the town, write:
The cave is north of the town.

yup I know but what I want to write is like this:

Location: small cave from north of new york

Isn't it strange to write "Location: The cave is north of the town" (maybe)?

or it is enough just
Location: the cave north of (name of town)????

No. But it doesn't give any more information than the general direction. I know to travel north, but I have no idea how far it is.
