Correct order of husband and wife names

Which order is correct on a card? Mary and Bob Smith or Bob and Mary Smith

I believe there is no etiquette to follow these days. If I list both first names, I generally write the name of the person I knew first.

You say 'on a card'.

If you mean on an actual greeting card, not its envelope, I would say that the names of the recipients are commonly not written at all. I usually just write a little message, eg Happy Anniversary!, and then my signature.

you do not separate the husband from his last name
