Correct order?

Which is correct? "Please respond to either me or Lisa.", or "Please respond to either Lisa or me." I have always learned that either one is acceptable, but my co-worker disagrees.

Dear friend, while both of the variants are acceptable grammatically, there is a generally recognised tendency to mention the name of a lady (or just another companion, colleague, etc. irrespective of gender) first, so I opt for the second: Please respond to either Lisa or me. Hi,

Let me just add explicitly that, generally speaking, it's considered a matter of politeness to mention the other person first.
