Correct or not no. 88

Dear All,

In the following sentence language skills are in the plural form and yet in the next part of the sentence we have to the shape IT used to be... I think there's no agreement here. However, for some reason, to the shape they used to be doesn't sound good either...

I'm looking for someone who'd help me bring my rusty German language skills back to the shape it used to be.

That sounds normal to me. 'Shape' = 'condition', which is uncountable.
