Does get is not ungrammatical but MrM says it isn't a good idea. I agree with his idea not to include Well, well in the first sentence. I paid no attention to it, probably because I was too hasty as usual.

"someone does get the books here" feels unusual to me. I can't visualise the situation in which it would be used.
