Correct or not no. 78

Dear All,

Could you please tell me if the following sentence is 100% correct? I'm not sure about:

1) the place of never in it. Can we put it somewhere else?
2) the underlined part - if it wasn't for... vs if it hadn't been for
3) hacking attack - it's probably incorrect
4) nobody would have ever gone to see it - not sure if this structure is correct here... is it a conditional?

I was just about to make a comment how bad this movie is and how it should never have been released. If it wasn't for the hype it had because of the hacking attack on Sony, nobody would have ever gone to see it.

Thank you!
