Correct or not no. 60: could you try to find the hard ones?

Hello All,

There are two people in a supermarket just about to buy some nectarines. Are the following sentences OK?

A says to B:


1) Could you try to fnd some hard ones? These are too soft.
2) Try finding some harder ones. These are too soft.

Is there any other way to say it? Is it really 100% native to say "hard ones" and "soft ones" ? Are there any better words? And... I guess there's a difference between try finding and try to find...
