Correct or not no. 57: tricky dashes...

Hello again,

I know I've asked a few questions within the last 20min but... I have one more...

I'm not quite sure if this sentence is absolutely correct.

I hope you don't mind but I'd like to make this email half job-related, half-personal.

1) First of all, should I say I hope you won't mind or I hope you don't mind?
2) Should I add it after mind?
3) Should I put one more dash between half and job-related?
4) Is the dash between half and personal correct?

Thank you so much!

It's okay, ask as many questions as you wish. The sentence is fine. If you choose to say I hope you won't mind then you should say if instead of but.

  • No, don't add it after mind.
  • About the hyphens, I'd use one in job-related, but not in half personal.
