Correct or not no. 54: I can't wait to see...

Hi there,

Is the following sentence correct?

I can't wait to see the Germans get their butts kicked by the Dutch in the next match.

I'm wondering if we should use the in front of nationalities. Perhaps we can skip them?

Thanks

You need the here. Germans can work by itself as a noun, meaning some people who are German , equivalent to Englishmen/Englishwomen , but not directly denoting the German team. Dutch (without the ) only works as an adjective.
