Correct or not? no. 16 - economy VS economises

Dear All,

I'm curious whether this sentence is correct or not. Especially the highlighted part with the word economies being the one that makes me wonder most.

At the same time we have striven for promoting the development of regional economies and gained rich experience in project management both in the domestic market and abroad.

Thanks

Thank you Clive.

I'm curious whether the word economies could be substituted here with economy. What do you think?

No. The writer is clearly referring to different regions, each of which has its own economy.
