[correct or not] doors to/doors for

Dear Users,

1) In the following sentence, should I say door to others or door for others?
2) Does the sentence sound OK? Are there any errors in it? Punctuation?

It's very difficult to make any choice because I'm worried that if I make one (,) then I'll close the doors for others, for ever.

Thanks

Thanks.

The first time I was trying to post my question the website got into an endless loop, so I had to force it to stop and refresh the page. That's probably why the post was sent twice.

Something like that happened to me, too, in the last half-hour or so. I wonder what the problem is.
