Correct or not

We should give due care to physical education in schools so that we can bring up a strong generation that serves their country. (Is this sentece correct? I translated this from my native language into English and I want to know if it is acceptable or not.)

My dad considers watching matches on TV a waste of time or My dad cosiders watching TV is a waste of time?

Thanks

anonymous We should [give due care to] physical education in schools so that we can bring up a strong generation that serves their country. It's good, but in English we would likely not write 'give due care to'. We would write 'pay attention to' or 'pay close attention to'.
