Hello.
'Off-tune' is the same expression of 'out of tune'? I read the former on several web postings, but couldn't find it in the dictionary. What is the meaning of 'off-tune' exactly?
I was also wondering if 'I have two left legs.' means ' I have two left feet.'
Thank you for your help in advance.
Hi I think that, if a person is out of tune, then it is usually because they are not playing or singing well enough; or their instrument is not quite tuned correctly If an instrument is off-tune, it may be a physical problem with the instrument: the notes played on the higher frets of a guitar might seem to be slightly over or under the note, for instance If someone's not too good at dancing then they might say 'I have two left legs' or 'I have two left feet'. I'd take those to mean the same Dave
