Correct my writing task 2 - Ielts Real test

Some people believe that crime is a result of social problems and poverty, other thinks that crime is a result of bad person's nature. discuss both views and give your own opinion.

It is argued that crime is the aftermath of a person having bad personalities. However, I believe that social issues and poverty are main reasons resulting in this phenomenon.

On the one hand, a person’s nature could influence on whether or not he or she is able to become a criminal. Those who are aggressive tend to break laws more easily than the others. For example, children who usually bully their friends at school may become a criminal in the future. Besides, some people having bad characteristics such as lazy and greedy are also susceptible to commit a crime. The main reason is that they want to live a decent life without working hard. Hence, they resort to earn money illegally by becoming robbers or drug trafficking.

On the other hand, I think that social issues and poverty are the main causes to crime problems. First, the instabilities in a society including civil wars, economic crisis can result in the rise of crime rates. For instance, Paris has faced with pickpocketing issue which has been increasing for several years and has harmed tourists and the locals. This is the aftermath of receiving low-educated refugees from African countries where there are many conflicts devastating their nations. Second, poverty is possible to lead to the appearance of criminals. Because those people live in poor conditions, they are forced to be offenders in order to make ends meet.

In conclusion, although innate characteristics can cause crime, I do suppose that it was the impact of social problems and poverty.
