Correct my sentences 2 !

I have made the following sentences. Are they correct?

It seems as if my book has disappeared off the face of the earth. I cant find it whereever I search.

The red car was placed first finally.

I dont know who has stolen my notebook, but I will get to the bottom of it.

I work as much as I'm paid. Not more, not less.

Perhaps you mean 'The red car won'?

'I don't know who has stolen my notebook, but I will get to the bottom of it.'-- This one sounds a little bit like a joke, since 'it' could refer to the notebook.

Thanks for your answers.

I thought that I will get to the bottom of it was an expression and the pronoun it in this expression doesn't refer to anything.

No, 'it' definitely refers to the thing whose bottom you will get to.
