Correct my sentence pls "...but my dad thought LOTR is a religious movie".


My grammar sucks, can anybody help me correct this sentence please, thanks!

"I like it! But my dad thought Lord Of The Rings is a religious movie."

i like it! but my dad thought "the lord of the rings" was a religious movie. unless the content of report is an objective truth, in which a present simple shall be used, the tense of the clause should be in agreement with the main sentence.
