Correct my below sentences please.
1. There were times where I used to give/distribute flyers to survive my life.
2. 1 million dollars doesn't get/give you a home but it gets/gives you a luxurious life style. In this sentence can't we use give here if not please tell me why.
3. He passed/crossed the signal at traffic.
4. I kept quiet.
