Correct my paragraph

hello
I have a writing exam next week and I'm going to practice everyday by writing paragraphs. Could you please correct everything for me?

it's about my best friend

"My best friend is Mari. She is 18 years old. She studies accounting at our university.
We like to watch movies together. We also used to study together when we were in high school. She's helpful and very outgoing. I like her because she's one of the kindest persons I've ever known."

I don't agree. "She's" is a perfectly valid contraction even when "is" is a main verb. However, it might be better to avoid such contractions in formal writing.

We also used to study together when we were in high school" is possible.
I never said, it is not possible. The use of "used to " change the meaning, and I guessed that's not what the author intended to say.

I will clarify the difference with an example;

I used to have long hair. It indicates that I had long hair and I don't have long hair now.
I had long hair. It indicates that I had long hair in the past and it does not provide any information about the present.
