'Reach' is transitive; it must be followed by an object.
'Arrive' is intransitive:

We reached the hotel at 8 o' clock./We arrived (at the hotel) at 8 o'clock.

Hi,
No. 'Reach' is a transitive verb, so it needs an object. 'Arrive' is intransitive.t.

eg We reached the restaurant late.
eg We arrived at the restaurant late but not We arrived the restaurant late.
